Emerson had a good track-record, and it was more surprising that he wasn't good immediately, than him did coming good eventually.

Cornet was a 1 in 3 player for Burnley, and has been more a 0 in 3 one for us.

I haven't written him off entirely, but he needs to become a consistently good player rather than a consistently bad one PDQ

Cornet deserves all the criticism he's had, never has the nickname FLAKEY been more apt on all possible levels. He was either injured or offside last season.

Obviously has the talent to come good, but never someone you want to rely on.

Cornet was either frustrating, injured or fucking rubbish. That Benny who Moyes fucking hates gets ahead of him is one thing but we've just bought a 12 year old left winger from City for 14m. Cornet is done. Or Moyes will use him on the right (where he's rubbish) or up front (also rubbish).

Not sure why Cornet is getting hated on. Kid was injured, I think he will be a solid contributor to our cause this year.

I remember everyone writing off Emerson too soon.

Give the players a chance ffs. Same with Scamacca.

Personally I can see Declan disappointing the Gooners more than anything.

Don’t be surprised if Declan isn’t this years Lingard.

ludo - Yea don't disagree, in an ideal world we can still get some value out of the likes of Vlasic, Cornet, make Downes better etc, but in reality I can't see it happening unfortunately.

Vlasic is holding out to make his loan to Torino (?) permanent. They want him but not that much as they failed to pay the agreed fee, which wasn’t very much.

The Italian clubs and him, Anderson and Scamacca have really taken the piss over the last couple of years…. need to get Vlasic back and get him training with the U16s if necessary… enough of being taken for a ride by these clowns!

Having said all that, hopefully he can come back, nuckle down and play his part this season. Should be a good asset in EL and go from there.

Him, Antonio and Johnson all have an extended break as they played International’s more recently (Nations League final, Gold Cup and u21 tourney).
